Laura & Fred | Old City Philadelphia Engagement

It is fitting that Laura and Fred are up next on the blog considering that they were just at my home for a super top secret photoshoot creating something special for their wedding! But more on that later (when I am at liberty to talk about it)!
Their engagement session was a blast! We cover a ton of ground running all around the city, but what we were really waiting for was the fireworks at Penn’s landing that evening. So when it came close to time we hoofed it all the way down to the Ben Franklin Bridge and got set for them. I imagined a glorious photograph of them with the bridge behind them and fireworks exploding in all their vibrant colors overhead. We were a bit disappointed to see that from our vantage point the fireworks barely cleared the bridge. But sometimes things work for the best and chance works in our favor. If the fireworks had not disappointed, if we had not been walking back towards our cars past the bridge, and if we had not been walking against the grain of people leaving the fireworks, I would not have shot one of my favorite engagement images of this 2012! The result was the image above!
Their wedding is this June at the Valencia Ballroom in York, PA. It is going to be a great time for sure, especially with some unique ideas for Laura’s brain and help from yours truly!
Laura and Fred- I cant wait for you to see the finish products and finally see them at your reception!!! They are going to look AMAZING!
