Talk about an engagement session with a lot of energy! Jen and Brandon showed up and brought their “A” game, not to mention their love for each other is bursting at the seams. These photos are a testament of their love and happiness. Neither of them could wipe the smiles off of their faces the entire time! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next August!

Haha! I love Jen’s face in the photo below.

A pleasant surprise!

So I dropped off Andrea and Andrew’s engagement album, and right when you walk in the door on the wall are prints from their engagement session!

It is always neat to see where the photos actually end up.

Samantha & Jon’s Engagement – NYC July 18th, 2010

Jul 20th, 2010 Posted in Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of  working with Sam and Jon in New York City. It was such a blast! When Sam contacted me about their engagement session, she told me that living in the city had become such a part of their relationship, that they really wanted this session to highlight them and what the city has to offer.  We  ended up walking around the city all day creating photographs at all their favorite locations. They were such champs about it too!  There is such a love, understanding, and caring  present between them it was hard to capture anything but. The kept the energy level so high for the the day;  it made my job very easy, and kept the day exciting!

I am very excited for their wedding next May!

I cannot wait to work with you two again!
Check out some of my favorite moments from the day…

I love this one.

Emily & Charles’ Wedding – July 10, 2010

Jul 14th, 2010 Posted in Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer, Weddings | 1 Comment »

Please meet Emily and Charles. I had such a blast photographing their wedding last Saturday in Reading! From the busy morning at Emily’s parents home, to the intimate ceremony and a simple but elegant reception at the Barn at Flying Hills, the whole day was a huge success and a great time. By far, my favorite part of the day was photographing Emily and Charles together during the time we had between the Ceremony and Reception.

Here are some of my favorite moments from the day!

Emily’s beautiful headband that she hand made herself! It gave her look a really cool 1920’s kind of feel.

Emily is a High School art teacher, so their reception was filled with colorful hand made centerpieces, paper cranes, paintings, and cards with fun little prompts for their guests to write on.

Did I mention Emily and her bridesmaid’s made all the cupcakes for her guests too?!

This was the last frame of the evening from Sara and Justin’s wedding yesterday, Saturday June 12, and I just knew I had to post it as soon as I possibly could.
I think as of 7:00am this morning they are on a plane to Las Vegas! Hope you two enjoy yourselves!

More of this to come…

Andrea & Andrew’s Engagement

May 19th, 2010 Posted in Engagements, Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer | 1 Comment »

Meet Andrea and Andrew!

We got together on Sunday and had a blast photographing at Iron Lakes Country Club and Lehigh University; two fantastic places that provided really wonderful settings for me to help tell their love story. We drove through Iron Lakes on golf carts looking for little nooks and crannies, and some other fun spots before we left for Lehigh.

A fellow photographer, Doug Benedict, put it best when he said that one of a photographer’s main jobs is to raise the energy level of a shoot. This was definitely not the case with these two! I would ask them to stand or sit in a spot, and they took it from there-laughing, hugging, kissing. They would start having a conversation and enjoying each others presence.  It was like photographing two best friends. That is what Andrea and Andy are really, two really great friends, and when you meet them in person you can really tell.

One of my favorite parts of the day was when we got to Lehigh, watching Andrew play his guitar while Andrea sing, both with huge smiles on their faces the entire time.

Here are a few of my favorites from their day:

Andrea and Andy had already picked this field out before we started at Iron Lakes. We stopped here between Iron Lakes and Lehigh, and got some of my favorite photos of the day!

See you two in October!

Michelle & Ryan’s Engagement!

This is part 2 of Michelle and Ryan’s Engagement session! We had gotten together last Fall and shot some photos of the two of them on Ryan’s motorcycle: Check a few of those out here

This time we headed down to Lewes, Delaware where Ryan asked Michelle to marry him at sunrise on the beach. Despite winds gusting to 40 miles an hour, and their dog Indy, prone to sudden hole digging fits, we got some great images! We started out in Lewes, then headed over to Rehobeth.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day!

Did I mention Indy lives to fetch?

Michelle & Robin- Bethlehem, PA

Apr 30th, 2010 Posted in Weddings | No Comments »

I met with Michelle and Robin last November at their home. After talking with them for a few minutes, I realized there was something really special between them, and I really think it came through in the photographs taken 5 months later.
They were married at First Presbyterian Church in Bethlehem where two families became one. Even with the threat of rain, we proceeded to Lehigh University after the ceremony where the skies remained clear and bright blue. We had a great time together walking around and taking photographs! After a short while we headed to the reception where they ate, laughed, danced the night away.
Right now, Michelle and Robin are on a cruise some place warm. I hope you two enjoy these photographs as much I enjoyed taking them!

Here are a few of my favorite moments from the day:

Chaslynn & Omy- Bethlehem, PA

Meet Chaslynn and Omy-
Omy just graduated boot camp and is being transferred to his specialty school within the next few days. We met Friday afternoon at the Monocacy Creek park and Illick’s Mill in Bethlehem, PA to take some bridal photos.  They were married later that evening, and are on a mini-honeymoon before he leaves. I hope you two are having a great time!
They were such a great couple to work with. Chaslynn looked beautiful in her dress, and Omy looked really sharp in his dress blues!

We walked around and photographed for two hours and had a blast!
Here are a few of my favorites from from the day:

A pleasant surprise

So for Valentine’s day Rachel and I went to this amazing condo/resort in the Poconos called The Lodge at Keen Lake.

This cozy location had a beautiful log cabin, and a row of beautifully decorated condos. There is plenty of room to stretch your legs, large field out of the condos ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions, and trails leading down to the lake. The log cabin would be a really nice place to have a reception. From what I understand it can accommodate 100 guests.

After settling in, we were greeted by and invited to have dessert (which was delicious) with the owners Joyce and Dean, two of the nicest and most welcoming people I have ever met. We talked for almost an hour about all sorts of stuff.

During dessert, another couple came in to share in the dessert with their newborn son, Michael.

I couldn’t resist the photo opportunity, and they happily agreed to an impromptu portrait session.
Here’s a few of my favorites…

I can honestly say no detail was overlooked in these condos. A see through fireplace, kitchen, jacuzzi tub, beautiful!

If you are looking for a reception area and the poconos are not that far for you, or even for a romantic get-a-way. I highly recommend this place.
