Hey Dan!
Yes, I know how totally lame I am for taking so long to email you. Part of the delay was because I was running around showing our wedding album to pretty much anyone with eyes. Whenever we would go to our parents’ houses or just out with them, they would ask us to bring the album with us so they could show it off as well. Basically, lots of people have been seeing it. We have a family party next weekend where it’ll be shown off again.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how much Joe and I loved the book! It’s beautiful and more than we hoped for! I’ve already added it to our bookshelf so we can look at it whenever we see fit. I also wanted to thank you again for all of your hard work. We really appreciate everything you did to help capture our wedding so well! Whenever our wedding is talked about, there are always two things that are mentioned: 1) how memorable it was with that snow storm and 2) how awesome our photographer was. I think a few of our friends were bummed that they didn’t book you for their weddings!
We definitely hope to work with you again and I hope that we stay friends!

Mark and I just got home from Alaska tonight, and the first thing we did was look at our pictures…we are BLOWN AWAY! I really don’t know what else to say- they are beautiful and really tell the story of the day better than we could have ever imagined – thank you so much!!!
We did a lot of reflecting on the wedding while we were away and one thing that we both kept saying over and over again was how happy we were to have you as our photographer! You were so wonderful to work with, and your positive attitude really helped to keep our spirits high when we were dealing with some very challenging circumstances (aka Irene). I can’t begin to express how wonderful your photos are of my daughter’s wedding. We had such a wonderful time watching you work and then seeing the results.
I have received many disbelieving stares when I show the picture of Allison and Sheldon at the Art Museum. They just can’t believe that that is a picture of someone that I know.

“Where can I even begin?! When we first started our search for wedding photographers, Dan was one of the first people whose work caught our eye. We loved his photo-journalistic style and decided to meet with him. During our initial meeting, we were immediately impressed with his high energy and creative mind. It was evident that everywhere he looks, he sees a photo opportunity! And from the moment we hired him, it was clear that Dan was truly just as excited for our wedding as we were! “The minute Joe and I met Dan, we knew he was the right photographer for us. We were instantly comfortable with him and he was the first photographer we met with who asked us questions about us and our relationship. It’s obvious he takes his work seriously. We booked him almost immediately and from then on I had regular contact with Dan. Whether a quick hello or answering any questions I had, Dan was always available to us (when I mentioned I was working on some little details, he sent me some great websites that were helpful to me).
The month of the wedding, we had a final meeting to go over all of the details. It felt like we were meeting with an old friend. He just has a warm personality. Again, it was a wonderful meeting and we felt extremely confident and comfortable with him.
Our wedding was the day of that freak snow storm in October – the venue lost power and the reception was postponed until Sunday afternoon. The night before the wedding, Dan stayed at a hotel near my parents house so he could be there bright and early. He shot pictures from 9:30AM on Saturday until around 5:00PM Sunday. Dan stayed with us as we saw the venue without any lights, he was with us on the terrible drive back to the hotel, he joined us as a group of us and 70 guests went out to dinner – taking pictures the entire time and capturing all the little details. He stayed at the hotel and was ready to go on Sunday morning.
Dan made sure we got every picture we wanted and we were able to see our pictures after two weeks, which shocked our parents. They are absolutely beautiful and I can’t stop looking at them! He is so talented (I have no idea how we’re supposed to narrow down all of the pictures for an album). Choosing Dan was the best decision we made for our wedding and we would recommend him to everyone!!”

“Dan is probably the most amazing wedding photographer! My husband and I had a different situation where he was away the whole time until a week before the wedding. We had to do our engagement session on Thursday, and the wedding was Saturday. Whenever I would email Dan, I would get a response usually the same day or next. Dan was always very flexible with when he could meet us and made things so easy. It was a blessing to have him as a photographer. He answered a lot of questions we had about times and everything. He had wonderful ideas for picture ops and when we got the pictures back we were in love. He did such a wonderful job!
